What lens should I get next…

I have a Nixon d3100 with standard kits lens. I just bought a prime lens 35mm 1.8 which I really love.
I have started saving for my next lens. If you were me, what lens would you go for next… I mainly take pics outside and I am interested in documentary photography.. any advice would be much appreciated!
35mm Is a great lens to start off with. Doing street and documentary with it means you have to get in close for people which will teach you a lot. Stick with that for now until you decide what other genre of photography you are into.
You could buy a long zoom and then discover you are not really into sports or nature. So I’d hang on for now.
Well the 35mm is a great lens for documentary.
You can’t go too wrong with a 50mm 1.8. They tend to be great value price wise.
