For anyone interested – The Universal Photographic Digital Imaging Guidelines, UPDIG Version 2.0.

Might be no harm to make this a sticky as it’s been produced in an effort to create industry standards for digital imaging. The current verion is only 26 pages and is worth having a read of.

Essential reading for anybody getting started or even more experienced. It’s the best overall summary of how to get it right that I’ve seen yet. I’ll be linking this far and wide so thanks!
