Ready for takeoff

Out in the garden on Sunday afternoon, during the brief hour or so that it was sunny:

    Mark
    Keymaster

    On the plus side its:
    – Nice shot
    – In focus especially on the wings
    – Good colour
    – Background out of focus

Would have been improved by seeing the front or side of the bee?
Also the bright area in the top centre left portion is a bit distracting.

I shot about 10 shots, trying to get the view of him from the front before he flew away for good. Dirty bugger was camera shy. Realistically, I think this shot would be improved if I cropped about 1/3 of it out, but most of the time I try to keep my shots “from camera”, at least as far as framing is concerned, to force myself to frame shots better when out in the wild. I didn’t notice the bright bit of wall, but you’re right. It is distracting. Especially the fact that it’s a fairly regular shape.
