Protecting a photo online

I have an unusual photo which I want to produce as a post card. The shot no longer exists. Mine is not photoshopped. It was something that I shot before it was corrected. I would like to advertise it online but make sure it cannot be stolen. Would a very low res and watermark mean it would not be available to anyone in a form that would be any use? Is there something else to do?

Ya, low res with a large watermark should do the job. I don’t think there’s any way that’s a 100% safe but at least you’re reducing there options for using it.

How would I make it low resolution and how low?

What software are you using? you should use the resize option to reduce the resolution. Under a 1000 pixels on the long side should be fine.

    Dave.
