Considerations when shooting expired film?

    Hi all,

I’ve a bit of b&w 35mm that’s expired (~5 years) and just wondering if there’s any considerations I should make when shooting it?

It’s been stored on a shelf in a room at home, so no wild temperature fluctuations or anything, but just thought I’d ask before I start shooting a little of it :)

Id say shoot a roll and develop it. See what it looks like.

Yeah, not a bad idea. Have a bit of time before I have access to my development kit, so any anecdotes/ experience when shooting expired film are welcome. From some homework it seems I should be ok & not lose too much sensitivity when shooting it (thought I made lose a stop)

you could shoot each picture using one or two stops up and down for guidance. I mean 5 pictures of each scene. Normal. 1 up 2 up 1 down 2 down.hen develop and see
