Work has been really manic recently (when is it ever not??) and what with travelling so much, I haven’t had the chance to take many photos over the last month or so. Today I went for a wander in town. The goal today was to engage with who ever I shot.. talk to them, ask them to pose.

This is Chris. The minute I spotted him I knew I wanted a photo and luckily he was more than willing to oblige. Shot entirely with natural light, no processing barr conversion, boost of contrast and sharpening.

    Comments welcome.

Nice shot and very well converted to black and white – I like the tones in this one.

Almost looks like a studio shot. If this guy is not already a model he should be.

Is there the slightest green colour cast on this Ciaran or is that a filter?

This is really excellent Ciaran. It doesn’t surprise me at all that
you wanted to photograph him; a great look (as Robbie said, if
he’s not already a model, he should be), flawless skin and
really fantastic eyes. Great to get a shot that doesn’t need any
processing. Those moments are fewer than any of us would like.
    Brilliant portrait Ciaran.

    Cheers everyone.

Rob – Shouldn’t you be on your honeymoon?

Robbie – Nope, no greens Robbie, just 256 shades of gray ;)

Looks fine here actually…must have been the monitor in work..which usually is better…

Anyway…is a fine shot and glad to hear all 256 shades are present and accounted for :D
